Sandiacre Remembered
A book recounting life in Sandiacre, Derbyshire, during the 20th century has now been reprinted in response to public demand.
'Sandiacre Remembered', compiled and written by members of Sandiacre Heritage 2000 Group was originally published in 2000, after group members spent two years interviewing residents and collecting old photographs.
The book quickly sold out and the group has now issued a reprint in response to public demand. The original text has been retained in its entirety and only one incorrect photograph has been replaced.
In the original foreword, former Erewash Museum curator, Julie Biddlecombe, stated that "this book is not a
comprehensive history of Sandiacre and was never intended to be. It is a collection of personal memories
which offer a glimpse into everyday life through the eyes of people who have lived and worked here. It is
recognised that ... your memories of an event may differ from those in this book."
Copies of the book, priced at £5 (GBP) are now available to order from:
Sandiacre Heritage Group, c/o 4 Victoria Road, Sandiacre, Nottingham NG10 5JE
Please add postage and packing to your order:
- UK inland single copy at £1.75

Cheques should be made payable to 'Sandiacre Heritage 2000 Group'.
